Finishing options
Displayslot is available with a comprehensive range of laminates and finishes to match your design specifications:
LPL (low pressure laminate). This finish is manufactured by applying special melamine-impregnated papers under heat and pressure to an MDF board. LPL provides good durability and performance at an economical cost and is often the best overall value for many years. We offer a full range of LPL colours and patterns from all major manufacturers, including: Bestwood (Melamine), Laminex (Melteca), Parbury (Panelart).
Wood veneer Creative Displays can provide MDF
panels with real wood veneer such as Tawa, Rimu, Oak, Walnut, Teak,
etc. Veneer panels can be supplied raw, ready for customer finishing
or we can apply a clear lacquer coating.
Painted Paint
is the preferred finish for Displayslot because it seals the relatively
thin panel to prevent bending or cupping. It also gives a nice finish
to the panel edge in the slots. Panels can be supplied painted in any
paint chart colour of your choice. We can also match existing colours.
Our standard paint finish is a two-pot acid catalysed lacquer. A one
pot finish can also be provided.
Edge finishes
Clashings Edges
can be trimmed with PVC tape (.6mm thick) or edge banding (2mm thick)
for a more robust finish. These finishes are available in all common
Melamine, Melteca and Panelart colours and for most board thicknesses
(9, 12,18)
Painted For painted panels, the edges can be sanded to prevent chipping and painted in the colour of the panel.
